It’s your girl Mai here. I wanted to sit down with you all and discuss a few things that I feel are useful in entrepreneurship. 

“With much is given, much is required.”

To be successful within this industry, you must learn how to self-motivate, reinvent yourself over and over again, continually transform your daily routine, stay on the course, remain inspired, and be ready for your world to be rocked at any moment. 

Having a dream is one thing; having a dream realized is everything. This takes discipline! You must create a space in which you thrive. This is subject to change based on your personal needs and desires. 

Self-motivation can be something different for everyone. What motivates me is not just glitter and glam. My dream is to create a platform that promotes generational wealth, not just be a trend. 

“ Kobe was the first to enter the gym and the last time leave.” 

My routine consist of an early start and a very late finish. I get up early to enjoy some me time! I hike for about an hour, eat breakfast, vibe out while I get ready for the day. All of this is done when the sun is barely peaking. One must have a clear mind and heart to stay focused on their path. 

Every day the world is changing. What was deemed “the look” yesterday can very well change in 24hrs. Sometimes you have to dismantle your look to rediscover the new look. This requires having the ability to start over at any moment! 

“Get bitter or get better. “

Be inspired by the changing world. Be excited to spark the new look that the world craves. Be hungry enough to enjoy the feast. 

All of your hard work will pay off only if you first believe it. 

During the pandemic, salons were closed. The world had to figure out a new way to create, inspire, and remain relevant. Some businesses were forced to close up shop, while others reinvented a whole new way to thrive. Be ready at all times! The industry will not bend for you, so let’s create a staircase!
